The U.S. will have the highest proportion of college graduates in the world 11 years from now if we're able to reach new targets set earlier this year by President Obama. But right now, data suggests that just 30 percent of 8th graders will earn a bachelor's degree by age 26. That's according to the new book, Crossing the Finish Line: Completing College at America's Public Universities, which also provides some insight on what's behind low college graduation rates across the nation.
