In conjunction with the extraordinary loan of Caravaggio's The Supper at Emmaus from the National Gallery, London, Keith Christiansen of the Metropolitan Museum of Art discusses the genius of this provocative Italian baroque master. Christiansen explores Caravaggio's modern spirit as seen in paintings of dramatic Roman realism as well as the more drastically simplified works produced in Naples and Sicily.
