A touring production of The Wizard of Oz, based on the 1939 movie will have a short run at the Chicago Theatre starting this Thursday. Chicago has a long-standing love affair with Oz. The original stage version of The Wizard of Oz was a smash hit here in 1902. Contributor Robert Loerzel has the story.
