Despite the much anticipated return of defenseman Brian Campbell, the Blackhawks fell to the Rangers in last night’s Original Six matchup. That may be due to the absence of star forward Marian Hossa, he’s still out with an upper-body injury.

Back home at the United Center the stars aligned for the Bulls who handed the Portland Trail Blazers their first defeat of the regular season.

Shining brightest? Derrick Rose who entered last night’s game as the league’s leading scorer. And Luol Deng, who scored a career high 40 points in the game. Sports contributor Cheryl Raye-Stout gave us the latest on what's happening in Chicago sports.
