Sen. Dick Durbin.
Republicans picked up enough seats in the midterm elections to win back the House. But the Senate is still run by the Democrats. That might make President Obama’s job easier – he’ll face a divided Congress as he tackles future items on his agenda. Even Senate Democrats are vowing to work with their new Republican counterparts. Among them - Illinois’ Senior Senator, Dick Durbin. After Tuesday’s election, Durbin has a Republican counterpart for the first time in five years – Mark Kirk. Eight Forty-Eight talked to Senator Durbin about the challenges ahead. He says that post-election he and the President had a frank conversation.
