Dueling Critics: Little Women
December 18, 2009
Louisa May Alcott's classic Little Women has been turned into a musical, an opera, films, an animated feature, and of course, a stage play. Themes such as overcoming character flaws, family dynamics, and feminism run through the novel. The latest adaptation comes courtesy of Bob Knuth at the Circle Theatre in Forest Park. And it must be noted, Knuth not only adapted the material, but he directed the scenic and lighting design as well. Dueling Critics Jonathan Abarbanel and Kelly Kleiman have a review.
