In the pantheon of contemporary poetry and literature, few are as accomplished as Quincy Troupe, the two-time American Book Award winner and pioneering innovator of jazz poetry. Troupe has a penchant for taking his readers to heights that border on celestial. This event promises the same. Recorded as part of the 16th Annual Gwendolyn Brooks Writers' Conference for Black Literature and Creative Writing.
Recorded Friday, October 27, 2006 at Chicago State University.
