The One Acre Fund believes the solution to the growing hunger crisis in Africa lies in the fields of its farmers. The organization helps subsistence farmers in East Africa improve their farming techniques so they can grow more crops and keep their families from going hungry.

Andrew Youn is the founder of the One Acre Fund. When Andrew first appeared on the program in 2005, the organization was working with about 30 farmers. They were experimenting with different ways to help them increase their crop yield.

He says they learned an important lesson from those farmers.
