Immigrant students rally in Washington, D.C.
Nearly a decade after the DREAM Act was first proposed, it passed the U.S. House of Representatives Wednesday evening.
The legislation would provide a legal path to citizenship for illegal immigrants who attend college or serve in the military. A vote in the Senate could come as soon as this week but the bill’s prospects of passing aren’t so hot.
For an update on the DREAM Act, "Eight Forty-Eight" spoke to Telemundo Chicago’s Alba Mendiola.
