Making Media Connections is an annual conference where hundreds of community leaders, nonprofit executives, journalists, independent publishers and media relations experts gather to promote news that matters.  Join community leaders, nonprofit leaders, mainstream and independent journalists, publishers, media experts and the general public to discuss getting our communities' important stories told.

The first keynote of the day, Richard Steele is one of the hosts of Chicago Public Radio's public affairs programming who has spirited dialogue with interesting guests that range from innovators to imitators. Richard is vice president and board member of the local American Federation of Television and Radio Artists and a board member of the Chicago Association of Black Journalists.
