Mardi Gras in Chicago
February 20, 2007
So began the Mardi Gras Parade at the Chicago Children's Museum on Navy Pier this past Saturday.
The event was organized by the NOLA in Chicago Network and featured Mama Digdown's Brass Band.
The musicians performed while kids of all ages sampled King's cake and decorated aluminum foil crowns and horns fashioned from plastic kazoos and toilet paper rolls.
The band then led the party on a parade, which included a single float topped with a paper-mache unicorn head.
