Kelly Kleiman speaks with playwright and performer Mary Scruggs. She has a new book out and next month she'll take her original solo performance, Missing Man, to New York's prestigious Fringe Festival.

As head of writing and education programs at the Second City, Mary has a uniquely extensive view of what improv hath wrought. Mary also co-authored the recent Process: An Improviser's Journey, which recounts the experience of a pair of actors in a very long long-form improvisation workshop.

Mary will be performing Missing Man in Chicago for one night only, August 8, 7:30 p.m. at the Live Bait Theater.
