Selly Thiam is the founder of None on Record, a sound documentary project that collects stories of queer, lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Africans from the African Continent and in the diaspora. The stories then go up on their website.
Selly began the project by chance. In 2004 FannyAnn Eddy, a prominent LGBT activist from Sierra Leone, was brutally murdered in Freetown.
Selly read about her story in a local newspaper and it had a profound impact on her. Selly's dad is from Senegal. She identified with FannyAnn's story and wanted to know more…
