Play with Chicago Premiere Wins Pulitzer Prize

For the second year in a row, a play that premiered in Chicago has won the Pulitzer Prize in drama. Last year, August: Osage County won the award for Steppenwolf Theater and its playwright Tracy Letts. This year race and gender issues set in a black brothel were the focus of the selection, Ruined The play premiered at Goodman Theatre and is written by New York native Lynn Nottage. She reflects on the work and the award.
