America's education system is in crisis and nowhere is that more evident than Chicago, where less than 60% of public school students graduate each year. Thousands of children are being left behind—and many of the developing "solutions" to our broken education system are problematic.

Too Broken to Reform?, the Goodman's second annual event on education reform, explores misconceptions and problems within our reform discussions. We determine what's actually broken... and how we can start fixing it. Panelists include scholar-academicians Valerie Hannon and Dr. Tim Knowles.

Recorded Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at Goodman Theatre.
