Some hot, hot heat dropped during the 20th Annual Gwendolyn Brooks Conference at Chicago State University in April. And no, we're not talking about the British Indie rock band.
We're talking about three of the more celebrated spoken word artists working today: Staceyann Chin, Malik Yusef and Roger Bonair-Agard, who are renowned for their ability to spit lyrical molten lava. The three artists, along with emerging Chicago Hip-hop artist FM Supreme, performed at “Verbs, Vibes and Rhymes,” a Hip-hop, Soul and spoken word concert at CSU in April.
Please note: This event contains sexually explicit language.
Recorded Thursday, April 01, 2010 at Chicago State University.
