The Chicago Public Schools Board of Education is expected to consider a temporary schools chief at its meeting today Wednesday.
Mayor Richard Daley yesterday nominated Terry Mazany as interim CEO of Chicago Public Schools, the country’s third largest schools system. Mazany will work for $1. That’s because he’s on loan from his current employer where he’ll continue to receive a salary. Mazany is President of the Chicago Community Trust.
WBEZ’s education reporter Linda Lutton had more on what this move means for Chicago schools.
