WordPlay, Young Chicago Authors' ten year old open mic and workshop series, resumes in October for the 2006-07 season. WordPlay is an open space for teen writers, rhymers, and performers to showcase their work to peers and the public. Each session begins with an hour-long writing workshop, led by a working writer who specializes in topic, genre, or form. This month's sessions are led by Chicago playwright, educator, and hip hop artist Idris Goodwin. WordPlay is free and open to writers and performers of all ages.
Recorded Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at Young Chicago Authors.
