Bob Marley's international career didn't last long, and not for lack of creativity or wild appreciation for his music. It  was cut short by his death on May 11, 1981. He was just 36 years old.

But his musical legacy is sure to last as long as the Beatles, the Grateful Dead and other aritst's who's music is ingrained in our cultural consciousness.

Marley's music remians as popular as ever.

This week on Radio M, celebrating Marley's life with his music; from the pre-Chris Blackwell days to the zenith of his popularity.

Also, a conversation with Matt Moran. He's the man behind the funked up, jazzy, Balkan sounds of Slavic Soul Party.

The band hits the stage at Martyrs' next Thursday.
