For Radio M's annual musical remembrance, Tony looks at back at the life and work of vibraphonist Cal Tjader. Tjader was one of the world's leading players of Cuban mambo, who began his career playing West Coast jazz with Dave Brubeck soon got the Latin jazz bug after a visit to New York City. Tony also features music from Brazilian samba queen Clara Nunes, Garifuna artist Andy Palacio, and of course the father of afrobeat—Fela Kuti.
