In January there were supposed to be two E2 trials starting in Cook Country Criminal Court. But owner Dwain Kyles's jury trial was postponed indefinitely, which left only the bench trial: for co-owner Calvin Hollins Jr, manager Calvin Hollins the Third and party promoter Marco Flores.

Last week was full of dismal news for the U.S. housing market. The pace of housing starts is at its lowest since mid-1997 and a huge inventory of homes sit on the market unsold. In Illinois, 2006 sales of single-family homes and condos were nearly 9 percent lower than in 2005.
