Vietnam’s Communist Party wrapped up its five-year Congress last month. The reshuffled leadership has serious issues to address, including rapid inflation, growing civil unrest and its complex relationships with China and the U.S. We’ll discuss modern day Vietnam with Edmund Malesky, a political scientist at the University of California-San Diego. Also, WBEZ’s Lynette Kalsnes reports on Cambodian-Americans in Chicago who work to ensure their cultural traditions remain alive.
