In celebration of International Women’s Day, renowned arts writer and dance critic Lucia Mauro hosts a discussion with Julie Nakagawa, artistic director and cofounder of Dance Works Chicago and former Hubbard Street 2 director. Following the discussion is a performance by Piel Morena, a Chicago dance company of four women established in 2009 to present quality works with a Latino background. They pay tribute to women with beautiful, energetic performances like Belo Corpo, choreography that explores the power and vitality of women.
