Woman Made Gallery (WMG) supports, cultivates, and promotes the diverse contributions of women artists, performers, and writers who share an interest in the interaction of the arts in contemporary culture.
The literary events at the gallery are usually organized around the same theme as a concurrently running art exhibit. However, this reading, which is part of the Chicago Public Library festival celebrating poetry month, will offer a sampling of the diversity of women’s voices, topics, and writing styles that can be heard at the gallery. Poets for this event include Coya Paz, Susanna Lang, Parneshia Jones, Lina Ramona Vitkauskas, and Nina Corwin.
