This event will be recorded for WBEZ’s Chicago Amplified.

This fall explore the world of music and dance by joining our intimate roundtable conversations with celebrated musicians, choreographers, scholars, and critics. Gain a deeper understanding of the themes and production of pivotal performances before they premiere in Chicago.

This event features Russian choreographer Yuri Possokhov, who will present a special preview of his fresh interpretation of the enduring Cervantes classic, Don Quixote. Along with Joffrey Artistic Director, Ashley C. Wheater, and dance critic Hedy Weiss, Mr. Possokhov will discuss the universal themes of Don Quixote and his unique approach to the choreography of the ballet. The roundtable will be moderated by Cervantes scholar and DePaul University professor Glen Carman.

This event is organized in collaboration with the Joffrey Ballet. A reception with wine reception will follow the roundtable.
