The military’s policy of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” banning openly gay and lesbian people from serving in our country’s armed forces is coming to an end. Join us as we discuss what this means to the LGBT communities around the globe and how it impacts Chicago, the U.S., and the world. Journalist Laura Washington moderates this discussion, which includes Jim Darby, President of the Chicago chapter of American Veterans for Equal Rights (AVER).
Journalist Laura Washington moderates this monthly series that focuses on contemporary hot topics that affect local Chicagoans. These forums are presented in a town-hall format with several panelists and include audience participation.
