Sometimes by choice, and sometimes by circumstance you’re working as freelancers or starting your own small businesses. Others of you are working jobs you hate, and trying to find a creative way out.
So we organized an event for you.

Thank you all for your interest.
Those of us who were turned away last night were told that there would be some kind of post containing some of the information we missed out on. Can anyone provide a link to where that posting is/will be?
The turnout was great last night...but that left tons of people standing in the cold and on the waitlist. Even if you got there well before 6pm. Somebody dropped the ball on not having registration. Other events these days, you can start a virtual waitlist and many places even have a 2nd version of the same event if demand is high enough. Points for putting this on--but it cancels out if you come all the way into the city only to be turned away at the door.
Ridiculously overbooked! I was #61 on the waiting list and there was about another 50 people behind me. We didn't make it in. This event MUST be repeated at a larger venue, and/or webcast and/or recorded.
would like to be at this event. Thank You
Is there any chance you might present this Making Your Own Job event again?
Cannot attend as I am taking classes Thursday evenings.
Perhaps the event is being taped or recorded?
I would love to attend can you also add me to your mailing list.
I may not be able to make it- will there be an audio recording we could listen to?
No need to register. But space is limited so be sure to get there right at 6pm to get in the door.

Like others here, I'm wondering if we need to register. I'd love to join this event!
I'd also like to know if we need to register.
Sounds fabulous, and I will attend.
To Sharon Vicker: It is a fantastic idea. It is free, to film the presentation would cost a fortune in equipment, staff, techs, etc. If you really want to come and are of able body, get your butt downtown on the train and attend. No whining!
I am also very interested but unable to attend and would love to see an online video of the event.
Sounds like a great event--do we need to register so you know how many millions are coming? Thanks!!
This is such a fantastic idea but what about those of us (including myself) who cannot make it downtown....perhaps you could film the presentations and we can view it online? please??
Thank you so much for organizing and sponsoring this event! So many things to explore: Northside Freelance Network, Rockstar CPA'S advice on incorporation, coLab Evanston, Freelancers Union and more.
I'm looking forward to it. Will come with friends.
Looking forward to the event!
Sounds like a great night, I will try to be there to learn about the freelance writing careers and the Evanstan coLab
Very excited about this, especially the Northside Freelance Network.
No need to register! Just come. I'd suggest getting there early to make sure you get in and get some of the free food and drink.
Thanks for organizing this event! I will be there!
