Dr. Olufunmilayo Olopade will speak on integrating women's health in the global development agenda. Dr. Olopade is the Walter L. Palmer Distinguished Service Professor of Medicine and Associate Dean for Global Health at the University of Chicago Medical Center. Dr. Olopade's research has focused on understanding familial forms of cancer. As a physician and scientist, Dr. Olopade works to translate scientific discoveries and cancer risk assessment into optimal interventions for women at risk of breast cancer. A global leader in academic medicine, Dr. Olopade has received numerous honors and awards, including the MacArthur Foundation Genius Award for “bridging continents with her innovative research and service models.”
