Growing populations, climate change, and diminishing water resources are combining to make water the oil of the 21st century. Our panel will explore federal, state, and local water resources policy, emerging practices and technologies that could set us on a path to more sustainable management, and, most importantly, what we can do as consumers and citizens. The panel features: Andrea Cline, water resource professional, Lake County Stormwater Management Commission; Josh Ellis, program director at the Metropolitan Planning Council; and David Naftzger, executive director of the Council of Great Lakes Governors and a Highland Park councilman.
