The Chicago Symphony Orchestra Association said orchestra musicians went on strike Saturday after rejecting proposals for a three-year contract.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel has announced redevelopment proposals for the sites of two coal-fired power plants that were shut down last month on Chicago's Southwest Side.

In any case - today, sunny, breezy, highs eventually near 70 degrees. Some winds with gusts up to 30 miles per hour. Then tonight, mostly clear, lows in the lower 50s except in the mid 50s downtown. Winds continue with gusts up to 30 miles per hour into the early evening hours.  

Tuesday, partly cloudy, highs in the mid 70s. Tuesday night, partly cloudy, lows in the mid 50s except upper 50s downtown.
