Friday has been designated “Free Pussy Riot Global Day.” Rallies will be taking place across the country in support of the Russian band Pussy Riot. A Moscow judge sentenced the band to two years in prison on hooliganism charges Friday. Chicago artist Mario Gonzalez returns to his native city for his first one-man gallery exhibition, at Bridgeview's Zhou B Art Center. A fusion of street art, graffiti and large-scale abstract painting, Gonzalez's work under the name 'ZORE' has been showcased internationally, with recent shows in Europe and Asian galleries.
The opening reception of the exhibition, curated by Sergio Gomez, is free and open to the public as part of Zhou B's 3rd Friday Openings series.

Explore ancient Greek culture and beliefs in this family-focused interactive exhibition from the National Hellenic Museum. Visitors can enter a world populated by figures and landmarks from Homer's epics, from a 12 foot tall Trojan horse, to a kareoke enabled siren's cave.
Also on display is a replica of the Antikythera Mechanism, a computing machine often referred to as the world's oldest known computer. The event runs through September 21st.
If you're already laughing at the idea of an Austrian comedy duo, then Moizi and Schwab's work is halfway done.The duo, who bill themselves as Austria's "comedy shepherds," are making three stops in their US tour, performing English language routines on international news, funny accents and misperceptions of Austria.
The trip is being filmed for Austrian television, documenting the duo's journey through the country, so spectators might one day see themselves on Moizi and Schwab's Austrian program back home.
