Manti Te’o
Former Notre Dame linebacker-and Heisman finalist-Manti Te’o gave sportswriters and fans an inspiring tale of overcoming adversity and heartbreak after the death of both his grandmother and girlfriend within 48 hours of each other. Deadspin.com reported Wednesday that the girlfriend didn’t even exist- it was a fabrication. Notre Dame says that the Te’o was a victim of a hoax. ESPN.com’s Lester Munson reflects on the fall of a sports hero.

Music Thursday
Bands, and the venues we first saw them in. For many music fans, nothing beats the live concert experience. The music (of course), the vibe, the camaraderie, the noise, and even the sweat. After the adrenaline-fueled euphoria subsides, and your hearing has returned, certain shows leave moments you’ll not soon forget. We’re joined on this Music Thursday by Bruce Finkelman, owner/operator of Empty Bottle in Chicago. He’ll share some of his most memorable concert-going moments, and we’ll invite listeners to call in or weigh in via social media.
