Join us as Saru Jayaraman discusses and signs her new book Behind the Kitchen Door, in which she explores and exposes the culture of the restaurant business in the United States. Saru is the Co-Founder and Co-Director of the Restaurant Opportunities Centers United (ROC-United) and Director of the Food Labor Research Center at University of California, Berkeley. This program is presented in partnership with The Public Square, a program of the Illinois Humanities Council.
