The world's worst yet inexplicably popular arena jam band will perform at the home of the world's worst yet inexplicably popular baseball team on Sept. 17 and 18, promoters Ticketmaster/Live Nation announced this morning. Lame singer-songwriter Jason Mraz opens.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 17, via www.tickets.com, with whom the Cubs have a long-term deal, thus denying Ticketmaster the opportunity to bilk consumers for its egregious "convenience" fees (though it remains to be seen whether tickets.com's fees will be any less--and tickets are not being offered for sale at the box office). Prices are $85, $75, $65, and $49.50--though you are certain to get much less than you pay for.
