Jerome McDonnell - Host, Worldview Bats R/Throws R College: Northern Illinois University Seasons: 26 (no joke) Desert Island Public Radio Show: Worldview Favorite pledge drive pitch: "Make yourself known to this public radio station." Jerome joined the staff of Chicago Public Radio in 1984 as an intern, later becoming a producer for the former programs Inside Business, and Midday with Sondra Gair -- an international news analysis show. He has been a producer of Weekend Edition Saturday and also served as executive director of talk programming. Jerome has a Peter Lisagor award and has been awarded by the Illinois Broadcasters' Association for "Best Public Affairs Program in a Series." *Jerome also has a bike he leaves locked up outside the Metra station, for daily commutes. He has several bikes at home, ready to replace when the Metra station bike is stolen or damaged.
