United announces 1000 additional job cuts

UAL--based here in Chicago--announced today it will cut 1000 jobs in 2009. That's on top of the 1500 cuts it announced in 2008. No word yet on if and how many of those cuts might be local. UAL release Do you work for United? What's the mood there? Let us know.
