Global Activism: Urban gardens provide source of good nutrition for people affected by HIV/AIDS

March 24, 2011

Each Thursday we hear about an individual who’s decided to work to make the world a better place. Sarah Koch is the co-founder of Development in Gardening, known by its clever acronym DIG. They create urban gardens to provide nutritional foods to HIV/AIDS affected people. Several of their gardens are located in Africa. Sarah returns to give us an update on some of DIG’s new projects, including a program they’ve just started in Zambia.
