Three years ago, comedian Marc Maron recorded a very funny album called "Final Engagement," and much of the fun of it came from his anger/self-loathing over, well, not many people being at the venue that night.
Fast-forward to today, and he's now got one of the most popular podcasts in WTF, in which he talks to comedians (from Garry Shandling to Louis C.K.) and gets them to reveal aspects of their life other interviewers only dream about.
In Chicago last week for a series of packed shows at the Mayne Stage, Maron (whose new CD, This Has to Be Funny came out Tuesday) was kind enough to stop by The Interview Show.
Would his success temper his anger? Eh, not so much. He lets loose on Dane Cook, shares his thoughts on recent WTF guest Andrew Dice Clay and even talks a little Montel Williams.
