Bulls virtual season off to a solid start despite real-life NBA lockout

The NBA lockout prevented the start of the 2011-2012 season but the Chicago Bulls’ got started on their schedule as planned--well, sort of. The Chicago Tribune’s RedEye reported on a virtual season, courtesy of the videogame NBA 2K12. Its visuals are pretty true to life--fans might hope the results are too. The Bulls were 2-0 headed into a a big game on Saturday night. Beyond speculating over how many points Derek Rose would rack up, Eight Forty-Eight wondered if the simulated season could satisfy the real-life appetites of hungry Bulls’ fans? To find out Eight Forty-Eight turned to the man running the show, virtual Bulls beat reporter Ryan Smith. Also on the show was diehard Bulls fan Jacob Daneman.
