There are about 350,000 people of the Bahá’í faith living in Iran. Since August 2004, The Iranian government has arrested hundreds of Bahá’ís.
Currently, there are at least 100 Iranian Bahá’ís in prison – almost twice the number from just a few months ago. There are also hundreds more who are either awaiting trial, sentencing or have their cases in the appellate process. Glen Fullmer, the national spokesperson for the Bahá’í in the U.S., tells Worldview about the situation in Iran.
On Saturday, December 10 from 1-3 pm the Baha’i Temple in Wilmette will host a symposium and film screening about the persecution of Bahá’ís.
