An EVA Air 747 cargo plane clipped an American Eagle passenger plane Wednesday afternoon at Chicago O’Hare International Airport.
Twenty-one passengers were aboard the plane that had to go through an emergency evacuation.
The passenger plane was on a taxiway pulling into gate G-20 when the cargo plane clipped its tail.
Larry Langford, a Chicago Fire Department spokesman, reported a small fuel leak from one of the aircraft, but said there is no cause for concern.
“They’re separating the aircraft and we’ll be moving them to another part of the airport for further investigation,” he said.
None of the passengers were injured, according to FAA and American Airlines officials. American Airlines also said the plane damage is being assessed.
