  • Hughes reads part of his poem "The Weary Blues."
  • Studs Terkel interviews Hughes during this conversation recorded in 1960. (excerpt only)
  • Richard Steele discusses the Hughes's legacy with Haki Madhubuti, poet and author and director of the Gwendolyn Brooks Center at Chicago State University.
