The district is expected to release a pared down list of schools still eligible for closure by Feb. 13. But the issue of closing schools is more than just moving students to another school. One issue is what the district plans to do with the vacant buildings after the school is shut down. School leaders say they will not put new schools in those buildings or hand them over to charter school like they have in the past. What started as a novelty act during the vaudeville days, the Girl Group has become an important and integral part of the pop music landscape around the world. Tony Sarabia and Richard Steele celebrate the contributions of the Girl Group with the help of Kristin Mark, lead guitarist with the Chicago band Summer Girlfriends.
