With St. Patrick's Day upon us, Ireland native Seamus Coyle joins Worldview to discuss Irish culture. Coyle says he chuckles when he sees crowds wearing green on St. Patrick's day. Wearing green to celebrate the holiday never occurred to him before he moved here. Coyle helped found Ireland Network Chicago and sits on the executivecommittee of iBAM Chicago.

 A group of teachers and journalists in Valencia, Spain, have come up with a new way to battle the city’s economic woes. They take the curious on a “Wastefulness Tour,” visiting sites of public infrastructure projects that cost taxpayers money but were never completed. Valencia-based journalist Jose Marco Paredes takes Worldview on a virtual tour.

Kimchi Challenge at the Good Food Festival

As part of the Good Food Festival, the Kimchi Challenge is a chance for local enthusiasts of  kimchi, a traditional Korean food, to test their wares for an expert panel, including none other than Sandor Katz, "fermentation revivalist" and DIY food activist. What is more, Worldview will be joined by Katz and local restauranteur Paul Virant for our very own fermented food tasting!

The acclaimed Cuban theater company Teatro Buendía joins the Goodman Theater for one of its Theater Artist Encounters.  This time, the discussion will focus on a stage adaptation of Juan Rulfo’s  novella Pedro Páramo. Maria Zamudio will lead a discussion with Goodman Theatre Resident Artistic Associate Henry Godinez, Playwright Raquel Carrío, Director Flora Lauten and the cast of Pedro Páramo on the development of the play. The event is free, but requires reservations.
