Musical duo She & Him visited the Chicago Public Radio performance studio today for an interview with Sound Opinions hosts Jim DeRogatis and Greg Kot. The "She" of the group, Zooey Deschanel, has primarily made a name for herself as an actress, appearing in such films as "Almost Famous," "The Good Girl" and "The Happening." But, as Elf fans will know, she's also a singer, having performed in the jazz cabaret act "If All the Stars Were Pretty Babies" since 2001. Deschanel met her "Him," musician M. Ward, on the set of the 2007 independent film "The Go-Getter." The two began collaborating via email and eventually released their first album Volume One this past spring.
