July 26, 2010

So the big news coming out of the Gulf of Mexico today isn't about oil, engineering, or meteorology.‚  It's about leadership - specifically Tony Hayward's future as CEO of BP. For months now, Hayward has been blasted for the Gulf oil spill and for BP's handling of it. Now comes word that he's likely to resign as CEO as early as October. We wanted to get Al Gini's take on all of this - the spill and its fallout - as he's a Professor of‚  Business Ethics in the School of Business Administration at Loyola University Chicago. So, we sat down for a short conversation.‚  You can check it out below. He thinks the BP spill marks a major turning point in both business ethics and the ethics of the environment: [audio:/sites/default/files/archives/blogs//Gini-on-BP-Oil-Spill-100726.mp3|titles=Al Gini on BP Oil Spill Lessons ]
