Artist Encounter: New Stages

December 14, 2012

GT/file

This December at the Goodman, we're celebrating new work with our annual New Stages festival, which will feature two new workshop productions and three staged readings. Since its first incarnation in 2004, the Goodman's New Stages Series has given audiences a first look at over 50 new plays in development via staged readings. More than half of those plays have gone on to receive full productions at the Goodman and other theaters around the country.

Get to know the writers and the work behind this season's New Stages series by listening in to this intimate conversation in the Goodman's Polk Rehearsal Room.

The conversation includes: Martin Zimmerman, playwright of The Solid Sand Below; Francis Cowhig, playwright of The World of Extreme Happiness; and Phillip Dawkins, playwright of Stutter. Tanya Palmer, director of new play development at the Goodman, moderates.

Recorded Friday, December 2012 at the Goodman Theatre.
