Michael De Bonis is a producer on WBEZ's science program Clever Apes. He began his journalism career at WBEZ with a production internship on the station's award-winning news magazine show, Eight Forty-Eight.
He built up his journalism chops writing scripts, reporting feature stories and news spots, and producing interviews with high-profile guests such as Cindy Crawford and Rev. Jesse Jackson. He was a Carl M. Wilson Scholar at Washington University in St. Louis, where he graduated in 2002 with a BA in Philosophy.
