Attorneys General: Lessen alcohol content in Blast

Illinois' Attorney General is cracking down on the makers of an alcoholic drink that's allegedly being marketed towards underage drinkers. Attorney General Lisa Madigan sent a letter to the Pabst Brewing Company telling them to lower the alcohol content of its Blast beverage. 
 
Natalie Bauer is a spokeswoman for the Attorney General. She says the warning label on the product isn't enough.
 
"The bottom line is that this promotes alcohol abuse and binge drinking and so the attorney general has very serious concerns over the health issues here and the fact that it's being targeted toward minors," she says.
 
One can of Blast has roughly the same alcohol content as four 12-ounce cans of beer. Bauer says Pabst is targeting minors by using brightly colored cans and bottles and featuring rapper Snoop Dogg in its advertisements.
 
Madigan joined seventeen other attorneys general in the request.
 
Pabst Brewing Company says it promotes responsible drinking.
