The Instituto Cervantes is pleased to introduce Eugenia Rico, the first Spaniard selected as “Writer in Residence” of the prestigious International Writing Program (IWP) of the University of Iowa. At this book presentation, Ms. Rico reads from her widely praised novel Aunque seamos malditas (Although We Are Damned), and Chicago actor Mark Brotman provides additional dramatic readings. On hand to open the evening is Christopher Merrill, Director of the International Writing Program (IWP) of the University of Iowa, and ZZ Packer, the acclaimed Chicago-born author. This presentation is in English and Spanish.
